Flatplan - Double-page spread
Magazine Double-page spread Rationale:
Colour use: I will still use the house-style I have been using for my front cover and contents page to maintain a professional appearance for my magazine. I will be using the colours pink, black and white. Black for any basic text/information, pink for anything I want to stand out and white for description and to use against a contrasting background to make it look beautiful and professional.
Image use: I will be using one main image on the right hand side of the page, hopefully with a model in either a medium or long shot. In the small images to the left hand side of the page I will be using small images such of either models or fashion products with information to go with it. Cosmopolitan did something like this when I did my deconstruction work and I really liked the idea so I used it, however, I will make it my own work and try to use it as inspiration and not copy the actual thing. I think since I'm doing a fashion magazine I need to include quite a lot of pictures so I can show my participation in interacting with the latest fashion and trends and show that through images.
Text use and font: There is quite a lot of text on this double-page spread as I've included a pull quote, article text, image text and information from the writer and photographer. I aim for the pull quote to be quite large and I will ensure the text I use for it actually goes with the theme of my magazine and fits well with the house-style.
Layout: I followed quite a simple layout for my double-page spread as I want to keep quite a simplistic layout throughout so I don't confuse my readers. I have a wide audience so I thought a good simple layout was a good way to be able to ensure that they are all satisfied with it.
